Four days to illuminate the future of tea from Shizuoka to the world.

The World Tea Festival 2025 will bring together tea and tea culture from around the world in Shizuoka. The autumn festival will be held at the Shizuoka Prefectural Convention Arts Center Granship, bringing together tea traders, researchers, and creators from Japan and abroad to engage in future-oriented tea cultural exchange.

What is the World Tea Festival?

The World Tea Festival began in 2001 as Japan's first comprehensive tea exposition to promote the appeal of tea from Shizuoka both domestically and internationally. The previous World Tea Festival 2022 Autumn Festival attracted a record 20 people from 12 countries and regions, and each year has increased the international recognition of Shizuoka, the city of tea, as a center for tea production, distribution, research, and more.

Taking into account the new culture of enjoying tea and the results of functional research, this year's World Tea Festival will be held with three objectives: to reach out to the younger generation, to capture inbound demand and strengthen overseas expansion, and to promote the health benefits of tea and its response to social issues.
