Kakegawa Gastronomy Symposium 2026 to be held!

An event to consider the local food culture and future will be held again in Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Following the success of the previous event, we will be scaling up this time and taking on a new challenge by collaborating with Higashi Mikawa.
A day exploring the possibilities that can be created through collaboration across regions, with the themes of "food," "innovation," and "urban development."
It is sure to be a place of learning and encounters for those interested in food culture and those involved in community development.

A day to think about food culture and the future: "Kakegawa Gastronomy Symposium 2026" in Kakegawa, Shizuoka

Concept: "Know" and "Connect"

Food culture is an important part of Japan's capital. Economic circulation is essential to protect and nurture it. Every region has a wonderful food culture, and there are people who support it. By listening directly to people's stories and learning, and by connecting with others, we can achieve this. The ingenuity of each individual will bring hope to the future, and these connections will lead us to the next stage.

Talk session: Getting to the essence of food and local

The core of this symposium is the talk session, where we will consider the future of food based on real voices from the field.

Networking: Connecting over food

At the event, we will ensure that there is plenty of time for speakers and participants to interact with each other.
Not only can you exchange business cards, but you can also deepen your communication by "eating together" at lunch or social gatherings.
Over a drink or tea, let's share what we've learned today and use it to build future collaborations.
